Sinead is a classically trained singer.  She sings all styles of music from opera to contemporary and folk. 

Playing both piano and guitar Sinead can accompany herself to offer you an affordable option for your event.  Being a member of the Mimosa Trio she can also arrange extra musicans/singers if desired.

Wedding Ceremonies are her speciality.

Mimosa Trio

  Sinead is also one of the founder members of the Mimosa Trio.  The trio was established in 2005.  Three classically trained musicians offer you a mix of voices with piano, flute, violin and guitar.

Parent and Tots Music

Sinead's most important job is being a mum!  With three active boys she knows the importance of stimulating your little one's senses.  Music is the ideal way to entertain your tot while also helping their neurological development.  Sinead and her one year old Jonathan host a parent and tot music class weekly. 

Here your little one will sing songs, play games and learn nursery rhymes.  inspired by Kodaly early music, Sinead will endeavor to give your little one a fun introduction to early music education.  The grown ups are invited for refreshments and a chat after all the hard singing!  

Grandparents and minders are welcome!! 

Music Education

A secondary school teacher since 2000, pedagogy is very close to Sinead's heart.  A fully registered member of the teaching council and Garda vetted through her work with church choirs child safety is of utmost importance.  Having completed her Royal Irish Academy Grade exams and a subsequent Diploma in Classical Singing from the London College of Music Sinead then achieved a Diploma from the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Community and Group Music teaching.   She is also a member of the Royal Irish Academy Teaching Network.  
Sinead can offer both children and adults one to one singing lessons. Muisc lessons offer students preparation for Royal Irish Academy exams, Secondary School Practical Preparation or if exams are not priority she will work on confidence, technique and repertoire.  If you have a forthcoming event you have been asked to sing at, Sinead will help you get your party piece perfected!  All private students are invited to perform in the biannual Sing and Smile Concerts.

Sinead also offers beginners guitar lessons.  These cover a mix of both acoustic and classical guitar styles and students are also encouraged to prepare for both Guitar exams and RIAM theory exams as part of their lessons.

As an experienced History Teacher, Sinead also offers one to one grinds and exam preparation for the leaving certificate.

Group Singing Classes &
Performance

Sinead holds a Diploma in Community and Group Music Teaching from the Royal Irish Academy of Music.  She is Music Director for the Children's Choir of St Thomas the Apostle, Castleknock and the adult Ciunas Choir.

She runs group singing classes for different age groups, held in the Castleknock Community Centre, Laurel Lodge, Castleknock.  The aim is to improve your vocal technique, learn new songs and styles of music, build confidence and most of all Have Fun!

Having directed a number of musicals and being passionate about confidence building performance is an important part of the Sing and Smile Ethos.  All students are invited to partake in Sing and Smile Concerts each Christmas and Summer to show the skills they are learned through the year.
